ABOUT US!
Vision Statement: LifePointe Church exists to help all people experience the fullness of God! (Ephesians 3:19)
We purpose to seek first the kingdom of God. We are intentional in our faith and purposeful in our witness. Every dynamic of our church body should reflect this first priority of our lives in glorifying our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The church is not a building or a gathering place. The church is a living organism called out of the world and called to fellowship with Christ. As part of the church we commit ourselves to gathering together as His body to fulfill His purposes.
We are not our own masters. We've been reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus Christ. We recognize and boldly proclaim the sovereignty of God, the Lordship of Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
THE ASSEMBLIES OF GOD
We are a part of a revival movement identified as the General Council of the Assemblies of God. We are not a denomination, but a fellowship of autonomous churches. The Assemblies of God is a body of Spirit-filled believers in a cooperative fellowship, based on the principles of voluntary unity. As a fellowship, we accept the whole Bible as the living life-giving Word of God and unite our efforts in preaching the Gospel throughout the world.
VALUE STATEMENTS
We have seven core values that govern the ministries of our church. We are committed to remaining true to these values and aspire to be:
Biblically Based: The Word of God is the final and ultimate authority for our faith and conduct. Practical, anointed and relevant teaching and preaching of God’s Word is the catalyst for all genuine life change. We honor God’s Word by holding ourselves accountable to its truths.
Prayer Intensive: Jesus clearly stated that the church should be known as a house of prayer. Believers should likewise be known as people of prayer. Prayer is essential for healthy spiritual lives and ministry.
Spirit Filled: God desires to be fully encountered and engaged by His people. The experience of Pentecost is a powerful and relevant experience offered to every believer. We are committed to living lives that are empowered by the infilling of God’s Spirit.
People Affirming: People matter to God. He passionately cares about every individual in any of life’s situations. Families, singles, widows, the divorced, the healthy and the hurting, are all loved by God. We desire to see people ministered to and built up in their relationship to God and to one another.
Outreach Oriented: Jesus Christ is the only pathway to spiritual life. The church has been commissioned to take the gospel to the entire world, beginning in our own neighborhoods. We desire to see those who have not yet come to faith, become transformed into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Ministry Developing: Every believer has a call to ministry and has unique gifts for that ministry. The ministries of clergy and laity should complement each other. A mobilized laity and an equipping clergy are equally essential for Biblical authenticity.
Relationally Connected: Life change, pastoral care and relationship development happens best in small groups. Large group activities cannot replace small group interconnectedness. Every believer needs the vitality that small group interaction alone can provide.
